Select Your Trainer
When the game is released you’ll be able to select your trainer. This trainer cannot be changed in the future. You get some starting attributes that will help you on your journey in GNO City.
PVP with Smart Matchmaking System
When battling others in the city. The card attributes play a role. To avoid any power gaming in the city we plan on creating a smart matchmaking system. Example: Lvl 150 Gnome will never be matched up against a Lvl 5 Gnome.
In order to complete this system we are creating a line-up system. You’ll have a way to create your own line-up of NFTs. Each PVP battle will have a random effect based on our algorithm.
The recording/updating of data on your NFT will be the following: health, wins, losses and experience. Your NFT will never “die”. There is a recovery period in GNO City or you can use a consumable.
All matchmaking is blinded. You’ll never know who you are going up against prior to the battle. There will be battle logs so you and the opponent can view what happened on the match.
Potential rewards from a win on a battle: NFTs (reward pool), badges & experience
Story Mode
Be rewarded for completing the weekly story mode. Each week there will be a new challenge/quest to complete. Each Gnome has a story. Rewards will fall into the category of experience, NFTs & more.
GNO City Stake-able Pets
*Allowing players to “stake” their pet NFT and it’ll give the player hourly experience. They can use this experience that they accumulate and apply it to any GNO City NFT they’d like. Can users stake multiple Pet cards ? Yes, they can. The formula will be simple. Each card will have an immutable data that has “X” amount of experience. That experience is what is provided per hour to the user. This experience can be allocated into any NFT/Gnome to increase LVL.

Complex Series - Collab Blending
Comic style blending with Gnomes & 3rd party collections to increase engagement in the NFT space. Complex Series will have a place in the story mode as well. Portraits & Complex Story NFT Bonus
The ownership of portraits and complex story NFTs help increase your gained experience in GNO City when a PVP is initiated. Portrait ownership helps them in PVP. SO if I battle in PVP and win, if normally I gained 50 experience and I own 10 portraits (50*0.20) = 10 bonus experience. 50 (original) + 10 (bonus) = 60 total experience rewarded.
Another larger example would be if a user owns 100 portrait cards, they will earn 100×0.02 = 200% increase. So if they PVP and earned 50 experience they will earn +200% as well for each battle.
How do you buy Portraits & Complex Stories? Simple keep your eye out for random drops. Each Portrait or Complex Story is only minted 30x. Check our Telegram, Discord or Twitter for alerts on these drops.

GNO City Set Line-up
You’ll need to setup your line-up when entering GNO City. How will a line-up work? You’ll have 5 slots to choose which NFT will fill that slot. For example if you set Slot 1 for a lvl 2 Gnome/NFT, your slot 2+ needs to be higher than lvl 2.
During the matchmaking process it’ll find a user that fits the requirements of your set line-up. It’ll automatically select 1 of the 5 slots for battle. Your line-up isn’t used all at once. Depending on other players line-ups will all depend which NFT slot will be used during battle.

PVP Calculation
Without revealing too many details on the calcuations. Your mint #, total experience, health, RNG and skill experience all have a weight to them to calculate the winner.
To prevent power gaming we aren’t releasing the exact weight to each skill, health and RNG.
The matchmaking system will find the best match possible within the NFT lvls to make it a fair match.

Earned Experience & Rewards in PVP
Each win in PVP the user will be rewarded in experience that they can allocate to any NFT inside GNO City. The experience calculation is based off a RNG of 1 to 50. And your bonus is calculated in this chart to earn the experience.
